Finches
Finches are the best choice for those who want a feathered pet but aren't up to the challenge of caring for a parrot. Finches are birds that don't speak or touch, but they impress their owners by thinking about the air and interacting with each other. Blue streaked Lory is a loose term to describe one of the many (hundreds!) of small passerines. The finches that are most commonly kept as pets belong to the Estrildidae family, such as the zebra finch, Gouldian finch, owl and the social finch. Finches are great for those looking for companion birds but they are not ready to meet the needs of a parrot. They will be content to stay in a large flight room or aviary with other finches. It is unlikely that a finch will be as friendly a companion (although some finches with the back of the hand, especially zebra finches, have been known to fall on the finger) as a bag.
